Our Story
In 2005, a young boy with a deep love for nature and a vision for a sustainable future took the first step toward change. Puneet Gupta, then just a school student, couldn’t ignore the growing signs of environmental degradation around him. With the unshaken belief that even small actions can create ripples of change, Puneet and a few of his school friends came together to form what we now know as PSEC (Prayatn Society for environmental conservation).
In 2010, What began as an informal initiative among a group of passionate teenagers has grown into a dedicated NGO committed to the cause of environmental preservation. Puneet noticed the world’s reckless exploitation of natural resources, which was steadily depleting the planet’s treasures. It wasn’t just about what was being taken from nature, but how little was being given back. The lack of awareness and education about sustainable practices deeply troubled him, sparking the resolve to make a difference.
In its humble beginnings, PSEC focused on small-scale projects: planting trees, organizing community clean-up drives, and educating peers about waste segregation and the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. These actions, though seemingly modest, laid the foundation for a larger movement.
As the years went by, PSEC expanded its efforts, tackling issues such as water conservation, climate change awareness, and promoting the use of eco-friendly alternatives. Today, the organization is a beacon of hope for communities seeking to adopt sustainable practices. Through workshops, campaigns, and collaborative projects, PSEC empowers individuals to become environmental stewards, just as Puneet and his friends envisioned all those years ago.
