Project Manager

We are looking for a dedicated Project Manager - Waste Management to drive our sustainability and waste management initiatives on the ground in Agra. In this role, you will oversee end-to-end project implementation, coordinate field operations, mobilize communities for waste segregation, and liaise with local government bodies and partners to maximize impact.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Project Execution & Management: Plan, implement, and monitor daily waste collection, segregation, and processing workflows to meet operational targets and timelines.

  • Field Operations: Supervise ground teams, field coordinators, and sanitation workers, ensuring smooth logistics, safety standards, and resource optimization.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong working relationships with municipal corporations, urban local bodies (ULBs), community leaders, local vendors, and corporate partners.

  • Community Mobilization: Drive awareness campaigns to educate households, schools, and commercial establishments on source segregation and sustainable waste practices.

  • Data Tracking & Reporting: Audit waste volumes, track diversion rates from landfills, maintain project documentation, and compile impact reports for management and donors.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local solid waste management guidelines, environmental regulations, and worker safety protocols.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

 

  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in project management, field operations, waste management, environmental sustainability, or social sector initiatives.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Social Work (BSW/MSW), Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Hindi (for field communication) and English (for reporting and documentation).

  • Work Style: Willingness to work on-site in Agra and spend significant time conducting field visits and operational reviews.
